Care
Caring for pre-loved designer leather, considered
2 June 2026 · 4 min read
Pre-loved leather rewards attention. The patina is part of the story — the goal of care is preservation, not restoration to a state the piece has long since left behind.
Daily storage
Always rest your bag in its dust bag, lightly stuffed with acid-free tissue to hold its structure. Keep away from direct sunlight and radiators; both age leather prematurely.
Cleaning, gently
A soft, dry cloth handles most surface dust. For deeper care, a tiny amount of a leather-appropriate conditioner — applied sparingly, never to exotics — keeps the grain supple. When in doubt, ask us.
Travel & weather
Avoid carrying your bag in heavy rain. If caught out, blot — never rub — and let it air-dry away from heat. Rotate the pieces you carry; leather, like us, appreciates rest.
